Energizing Aromatherapy

Diffuser.jpg

There are constituents in pure essential oils that are stimulating and energizing. These oils are wonderful to use in the morning for waking up, in the early/late afternoon when we can feel like we’re dragging, or any other time when we could use a little extra pep.

To use these oils aromatically, you can put them in a diffuser or put a drop or two in your hands, rub your hands together, cup your nose and inhale. To use them topically, you can put a drop or two behind the neck and under the nose (breathe in whatever is left on your hands) – you can also try behind the knees. For certain oils, such as peppermint, you can place a fraction of a drop on your thumb pad and rub it on the roof of your mouth – which is the closest you can get topically to the limbic center of your brain.
