Namascarasana - Hand Mudra

Hand Mudras are are hand positions used both with yoga poses and on their own.  The various hand positions have been part of the 5000 year old practice of yoga.  They help access energy along many meridians and bring peace, calm and spiritual progress.  Furthermore, most have beautiful names and meanings.  Hands in prayer, namascar, is used as a greeting, both before and sometimes after a yoga practice and along with the word namaste, means: "the honor in me respects the honor in you as we have come to work together in harmony."

Namaste!
